1959
Ken Greenbaum opened Ken's Suburban Furniture in Bellevue Wa. with 2 employees. The original building was once home to a church located on Bellevue Way.
1967
Moved North on Bellevue Way to current Pier 1 Imports building.
1982
The Bellevue store was opened at its present location adjacent to Interstate 405. The building opened as the Bellevue Furniture Center housing Ken Schoenfeld Furniture and Ken's Suburban Furniture.
1984
Ken Greenbaum purchased the Ken Schoenfeld Corporation combining the building into a 44,000 sq. ft. furniture showroom. The acquisition also included the Lynnwood and Tacoma locations. The name was then changed to Greenbaum Home Furnishings.
1989
Acquired Levins Home Furnishings in Bellingham.
1990
A Service Center was opened in Woodinville, Wa. which houses the Delivery and Service Department. The building is 40,000 sq. ft. and is used for receiving, shipping and storage of inventory. Today the organization is known as Greenbaum Home Furnishings.
1992
Acquired Ken Schoenfeld Furniture of Parkway Plaza. Closed our Bellingham location.
1996
Consolidated operations to the Bellevue location and closed our stores In Lynnwood, Tacoma and Tukwila.
2004
Participated in "Quality Street" tour of Homes in Newcastle.
2005
Ken Greenbaum retires and 3 of his children, Cindy, Steve and Jon continue to run the business. Participated in ABC's Extreme Home Makeover in Port Orchard.
2009
Celebrated our 50 year Anniversary. We retrofitted our buildings to ceramic hallide technology which equates to taking 72 cars off the road or eliminating 832,000 pounds of Carbon Dioxide annually not to mention saving a substantial amount of money in energy bills.
2010
We remodeled our showroom and re-landscaped the exterior of our building. Voted "Best of Bellevue" in the furniture category from the Bellevue Reporter.
2011
Voted "Best of Bellevue," in the furniture category from the Bellevue Reporter for the 2nd year in a row. Many employees have worked for the Greenbaum family for over 20 years.
